Falstaff: 97 / 100 Punkte
"Dem Abgang einer Mure gleich schiebt sich der Wein doch gleichzeitig so unmerklich und gewaltig wie ein Gletscher über unseren Gaumen. Sein Geschmack hält für die Dauer der Lektüre eines guten Romans an. Mindestens. Gedenkminute einlegen. Glücklich ins Bett fallen."
Wine Spectator: 98 / 100 Punkte (TOP 100 List 2017)
"This offers a drop-dead gorgeous core of cassis and raspberry pâte de fruit flavors that hold center stage but still allow notes of Lapsang souchong tea, anise, incense and shido leaf to chime in. Very long, with a sublime feel through the mineral-tinged finish. So seductive already, but this should cruise in the cellar. Drink now through 2040."
Wine Advocate: 97 / 100 Punkte
"Bottled in May, the 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape is a floral, elegant, unbelievably complex wine. Roses and violets, cherries and stone fruit, cinnamon and allspice and more are carried across the full-bodied yet almost weightless palate, finishing in a swirl of silky tannins and lingering spice. Drink it over the next two decades."
J. Livingstone-Learmonth: 5 / 6 Sterne
"Red robe. Has a sweet, red berry fruited nose that is open, on the go, open as in open for now, before its close down. There is evident ripeness, airs of strawberry, flowers, spice. The palate moves along with squeezy content, prominent strawberry fruit, and floral, soft tannins and a late burst of clarity. It has a weave of tannin through it – it’s a straight down the line wine at heart, and its tannins leave a menthol effect. It’s interesting – it will evolve with bursts of opening and closing, going up and down. There is very bonny, perfumed juice within. Bottled April 2017. “The tannins are silken. The phenolics were very ripe, and it’s a good Mourvèdre vintage. It helped not to filter, only fine the eggs with egg white one year before bottling,” Vincent Avril. Drink now to mid-2018, then from 2024. 2039-42"
Decanter: 95 / 100 Punkte
"Grenache at its best manages to walk a tightrope between positively raisiny richness and an unlikely, but utterly tempting, red fruit scent. The fruit here is rich, with luscious prunes and crystallised plum, which blends irresistibly with bright, warm red berry scents and a scratch of herbs."
J. Dunnuck: 95 / 100 Punkte
"Tasted on three separate occasions, the 2015 Châteauneuf-du-Pape from Paul-Vincent is a classic, elegant, and incredibly complex style of wine reminiscent of a Grand Cru Red Burgundy (Chambolle-Musigny?). Black raspberries, blueberries, incense, pine resin, dried orange and exotic floral notes give way to a medium to full-bodied, ethereally textured 2015 that has moderate tannin, beautiful purity, and a seamless finish. I compared this to an improved 2005 last year when I tasted it from barrel, but I’m not sure that comparison holds today, and I struggle to come up with another similar vintage. Nevertheless, this is a beautiful wine that should be at its best from 2020-2030+."

J. Suckling: 93 / 100 Punkte
"Impressive and bright mixed summer berry and spiced cherry fruits on the nose in a vibrant, alluringly complex style. The palate delivers succulently ripe red cherry and plum fruit flavors. Plenty of weight. Gently warm and spicy finish."
The Wine Cellar Insider: 96 / 100 Punkte
"Elegance, purity of fruit, silky tannins and the ability to harness power, concentration, and freshness, keeping everything in balance is what takes place here. Perhaps this is the most consistent wine of the appellation for the past 5 decades. But I digress. This is really a fabulous, sensuous, sexy wine, with velvet textured tannins and ripe, sweet red fruits and spice that does not want to quit. The wine was made using 65% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre, 10% Syrah and the remaining 5% consists of various, allowable grape varieties."
Vinous: 94-96 / 100 Punkte
"Deep ruby. Hugely aromatic red and dark berry, potpourri and floral scents are underscored by smoky minerality and an exotic suggestion of Asian spices. Sappy, focused and impressively deep yet lively, offering alluringly sweet raspberry, cherry compote and spicecake flavors and a refreshingly bitter touch of blood orange. Puts on weight and spreads out steadily with air, acquiring a succulent herb note that carries through the strikingly long, mineral-laced, gently tannic finish. This beauty is shaping up to be among the standouts of this extremely successful vintage."

Zitat J. Livingstone-Learmonth: "Gold standard estate, joy to taste only one red, one white, so good blending is crucial. The yields are always very low – not much more than 20 hl/ha, which serves to concentrate the red wine, and there is an above average emphasis on the Mourvèdre, all planted in clay soils. The blend is now usually 55% Grenache, 30% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah, 5% various including white grapes, having been 65% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah, 5% various including white grapes into the early 2010s. The 2014 red was utterly charming, a real en finesse ****(*) beauty, while the 2015 is logically a bolder, more demanding ***** wine, requiring patience. The ***** 2016 red is deep and long, a vintage that will age extremely well. The whites drink well in their first couple of years, then back off, close down, and emerge as more complex, stimulating wines around seven years' old; they live well and deserve a top table accompaniment."
