"Open and inviting aromas of dried pears, almost slightly hoppy. This is full-bodied and rich, but with good acidity thanks to the Bourboulenc and Piquepoul in the blend. There’s a lovely mineral touch despite being a big, powerful vintage. It’s not the most fine and elegant, but will be very good in time. The yield was down 50% this year due to hail. It’s worth waiting for this vintage, it will be wonderfully full and luxurious in time. Equal parts Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Bourboulenc, Roussanne, Piquepoul and Picardan. No malolactic fermentation. Drinking window: 2029-2045"
J. Dunnuck: 97 / 100 Punkte
"The 2022 Châteauneuf Du Pape Blanc is the usual blend of all the permitted varieties. It shows the richer, layered, opulent style of the vintage beautifully, with loads of pear, acacia flower, citrus oil, and spice notes all defining the aromatics, and it's full-bodied, with a layered, opulent texture and a great finish."
J. Livingstone-Learmonth: 4 / 6 Sterne
"Shiny yellow robe; the nose has a peach fronting, an air of aniseed, white plum, marked greengage, pear in syrup. The palate holds cosy gras that is well centred on a compote, slightly high fruit manner, touches of salt towards the finish, a flavour of dried apricot, neat grip on a refined, Southern style rounded finish. It’s not as mineral as usual, is more in thrall to sunny conditions, has a flattering style. It can tighten up, the best policy to wait eight+ years for greater mineral. The aftertaste is clear, with spearmint, which is encouraging, helpful. “It’s very rich, is more powerful than usual, 14.8° to 15°, is rather atypical. The 30% Bourboulenc and Picpoul are very important to it, to aid minerality. It will be good with a dish of Breese chicken in a morille-morel mushroom sauce,” Vincent Avril. 2044-46"

"The 2022 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc is made with the usual blend of Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Roussanne, Bourboulenc, Picpoul and Picardan. It is distinctively fragrant, combining expressive aromas of honeysuckle, acacia, grapefruit, lemon peel, white peach, apricot and hints of pineapple. Full-bodied and opulent, it is well-balanced by supple acidity, oily-textured and leaves a deliciously salty aftertaste. Drink 2024-2037"

Zitat J. Livingstone-Learmonth: "Gold standard estate, joy to taste only one red, one white, so good blending is crucial. The yields are always very low – not much more than 20 hl/ha, which serves to concentrate the red wine, and there is an above average emphasis on the Mourvèdre, all planted in clay soils. The blend is now usually 55% Grenache, 30% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah, 5% various including white grapes, having been 65% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah, 5% various including white grapes into the early 2010s. The 2014 red was utterly charming, a real en finesse ****(*) beauty, while the 2015 is logically a bolder, more demanding ***** wine, requiring patience. The ***** 2016 red is deep and long, a vintage that will age extremely well. The whites drink well in their first couple of years, then back off, close down, and emerge as more complex, stimulating wines around seven years' old; they live well and deserve a top table accompaniment."
