Der Clos des Papes blanc ist blumig, zeigt aber immer noch Zitrusnoten wie Grapefruit und einen Hauch von Anis. Er weist auch eine schöne Mineralität auf. Sie können diesen Wein jung mit diesen Aromen genießen oder ihn wie einen Rotwein reifen lassen, wobei er unterschiedliche Entwicklungsstadien durchlaufen wird in Richtung Mineralität, Trockenfrüchte, Honig und geröstete Mandeln.
Bitte nicht kälter als ca. 12°C. trinken und eventuell auch in einer Karaffe belüften.

"Shiny yellow robe; there’s a hint of exotic fruit, cooked lime, white tobacco, almond, white plums, orange peel, citrus instincts on the nose. The palate is elegant all through, carries floral notes, attractive white peach, is cool threaded, has spark, definition. It’s still in a very primary state – it’s a pity to drink it now, before more variety comes along, more openness, indeed splendour. It’s long, without any obvious insistence, is a major year, has stature. From 2031. 2047-49"

"Limeflower, fennel and almond; bright and straight. Touch of grapefruit citrus bitters on the palate, which is tight and direct. Lovely mineral, saline touch on the finish, along with a bit of oatmeal. Great energy and intensity, good now, will be better from 2029. Equal parts Roussanne, GrenacheBlanc, Clairette, Bourboulenc,Picpoul and Picardan. No malolactic, fermented and aged in stainless steel. Drink 2028-2048"

"A textural, flavorful and herb-tinged white with notes of dried lemons, white peaches, anise, warm herbs and quince. Medium-bodied with a well-rounded, polished and flavorful development on the palate. Lovely lemon character to the long, mouthwatering and textural finish, with a touch of anise and almond paste. Drink or hold."

"Bottled in February 2025, the 2024 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc spent a mere five months in stainless steel tanks on its fine lees. Ripe pear, yellow apple and a touch of honeysuckle rise up from the glass. Medium-bodided and elegant yet sufficiently concentrated, the 2024 is a wonderful white Clos des Papes, packing subtle phenolic grip on the sapid termination. This comes with secure aging potential."

Zitat J. Livingstone-Learmonth: "Gold standard estate, joy to taste only one red, one white, so good blending is crucial. The yields are always very low – not much more than 20 hl/ha, which serves to concentrate the red wine, and there is an above average emphasis on the Mourvèdre, all planted in clay soils. The blend is now usually 55% Grenache, 30% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah, 5% various including white grapes, having been 65% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah, 5% various including white grapes into the early 2010s. The 2014 red was utterly charming, a real en finesse ****(*) beauty, while the 2015 is logically a bolder, more demanding ***** wine, requiring patience. The ***** 2016 red is deep and long, a vintage that will age extremely well. The whites drink well in their first couple of years, then back off, close down, and emerge as more complex, stimulating wines around seven years' old; they live well and deserve a top table accompaniment."
