"2018 northern whites: here we have a triumph. 2018 is a great year for Northern Rhone whites made from Marsanne and Roussanne. They combine deep, rolling gras richness, with lines of clarity and length...
There are only 3.5 casks this year: deep yellow. Grilling, toasted airs with tangy quince plum fruit, cooked lemon, on the nose, which gives a firm opening. The palate holds good richness with a vibrant nature within; it moves along throughout, persists with some sparkle, definition, is a touch more fresh than 2017, even if there is analytically less acidity than 2017, and a lot less than 2012 and 2015. It shows lift along the second half, holds good core, leads into a grippy Marsanne close. It’s a bit more direct than 2017, which is very firmly founded. It will amplify. This is real sure fire Crozes blanc. “It is supple, has a lot of gras,” Marc Sorrel. 2033-35"

Zitat J. Livingstone-Learmonth: "One of the few small domaines with vineyards in plum, central sites at Hermitage. Generally traditional outlook. Attempts have been made since the late 1990s to work the vineyards more naturally. Winemaking has become more consistent. The red Hermitage Le Gréal can be very good indeed, a true child of the hill, and is indeed mighty in vintages such as 2010, 2015 and 2017. The Hermitage Les Rocoules white is an STGT (Soil to Glass Transfer) wine. The white Crozes-Hermitage is a cracker, made from 1945 vines, and the epitomy of traditional white Rhône from the happy marriage of Marsanne and Roussanne. This, too is STGT, and has been excellent in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016."
