"OVERALL: the length is good, the robes are dark, it holds well in mid-palate, the tannins are not at all aggressive. Very solid quality.
Dark robe; the bouquet is wide, has reserves of depth, carries wisps of violets, an inlay of blackberry jam and a note of iodine, the scenting helping to aid its appeal. The palate is also broad on attack, bears a sunny store of mixed berry fruit, some thickness in the tannins, is a solid, thorough Cornas, rooted to the ground in a nice, genuine way. It finishes with fleshy content and a rounded shape, a little gourmandise. From mid-2027-28. 2046-48"

Das Weingut
Nicolas Serrette übernahm 2013 die Geschäfte von Vater Gilbert, von dem er auch das Handwerk in der Tradition der Familie erlernt hat. Erste Erwähnung findet das Weingut bereits Anfang des 16.Jh.
Kern des Besitzes der Familie sind winzige 2 ha „Patou“, eine extrem steile Granitlage, die biologisch, allerdings ohne Zertifizierung bewirtschaftet wird. Je nach Jahrgang werden die Trauben zu 50-80% entrappt, zunächst im Beton und später in mehrjährig gebrauchten Barriques ausgebaut. Die strahlende Frucht steht im Zentrum der Weine mit großer Finesse aber auch den Cornas-typischen würzigen Noten.
